Women in construction week 2026

We are proud to again support National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) as they celebrate Women in Construction Week 2026 under the theme “Championing the Legacy. Building the Future.”   At MAI Construction, this message resonates deeply. Honoring the progress women have made at our company and in our industry is important — but building what comes next is essential.

As a 50% women-founded and women-owned company, we take great pride in the contributions that women make across every level of MAI Construction.

Celebrating the Women Who Build Excellence at MAI Construction

Women at MAI are leading projects, managing operations, strengthening financial strategy, and shaping executive decisions. From project management to accounting to leadership, their expertise directly impacts the quality, precision, and excellence our clients expect.

We know that diverse perspectives drive stronger outcomes. In commercial construction where complexity, coordination, and accountability matter, inclusive leadership isn’t just meaningful. It’s strategic.

Partnering with Women Who Lead the Industry Forward

Our commitment extends beyond our internal team. Many MAI team members are actively involved in organizations that support and advance women in commercial real estate and construction, including CREW SF and RED Bay Area.

Through industry events, collaboration, and ongoing engagement, we learn from and work alongside women who are shaping the built environment across the Bay Area.

In commercial construction, collaboration is essential. Every successful project depends on architects, engineers, trade partners, consultants, and owners working in alignment. We build project teams that reflect diverse leadership because diverse perspectives strengthen strategy, execution, and results.

Championing Future Women Leaders Through STEM Outreach

Investing in the future of construction means investing in access and opportunity. We are proud to support Scientific Adventures for Girls through financial sponsorship, helping expand STEM education and career pathways for young women. In addition to monetary contributions, our team actively volunteers time and expertise through internships and opening our job sites and offices to high school students for a day with our Project Managers, helping them envision their own future in the industry.

Construction is more than what happens on a jobsite. It requires problem-solvers, engineers, planners, analysts, coordinators, and innovators. By introducing young women to the full spectrum of opportunities within our industry, we help expand what’s possible.

Building a stronger workforce starts early — and it must be intentional.

While we’re proud to recognize Women in Construction Week, our commitment extends far beyond a single week. Championing women in construction is not a campaign — it is part of how we build, how we lead, and how we define excellence.

If you’re seeking a construction partner that builds with intention and leads with accountability, we’d be glad to connect
