Industry News

It’s no surprise that sustainability is top of mind for many organizations. According to Reuters, in 2024, 71% of C-suite leaders believed environmental, social and governance (ESG) investment is a competitive advantage for their company, and 82% say they believe the significance of ESG in corporate performance will continue to grow.
As sustainability continues to gain momentum and mindshare, facilities managers are going to be asked to do more to promote sustainable practices in their facilities. Initiatives like “net zero emissions,” and LEED certification are priority initiatives for many companies who see the importance of sustainability in both the bottom line and in employee attraction. Even smaller initiatives, like using recycled products and investing in solar power are gaining traction.
Sustainability in both maintaining existing spaces and creating new working environments will maintain its priority status going forward. Take the step and become a leader in sustainable building and operational practices.
What's Going on at MAI?
We bring vision, value and expertise to our valued clients.

This year we are focused on defining and demonstrating forward-thinking approaches to construction sustainability for our clients.
With sustainability a key initiative for many of our clients, we are ensuring that we are at the forefront of sustainable best practices. From high density rack lab updates that include in-rack cooling (IRC), to boiler conversions (gas to electric), and even company-wide mandates of “net zero emissions,” MAI Construction is built to help your company achieve its goals.
[RTO] Get Ready for More In-Person Employees
As many organizations make the move to require in-office workdays, is your facility ready for additional headcount and changing workplace requirements?

We’ve been working with clients on workspace improvements for decades – here are some of our RTO tips for improving a workspace:
Add collaboration spaces
Consider noise reduction in open areas and sensitive spaces
Ensure you have effective lighting (can be eco-friendly too)
Prioritize employee workspaces
We can work with you to perfect your vision of return-to-office and determine the best way to maximize your space.
Need help getting ready for RTO (and doing it in an eco-friendly way)?
