MAI Construction, Inc. is proud to support Construction Safety Week 2025! With our commitment to safety, MAI Construction’s safety program includes annual training, monthly training, as well as weekly job site meetings to discuss safety issues related to each project. We take pride in developing and implementing one of the best safety programs in the industry, and we’re proud to partner with Construction Safety Week on their mission to build a stronger, safer construction industry.
By prioritizing safety, we not only protect our team but also safeguard our client team members and everyone involved in the project. A safer work environment reduces the risk of delays, accidents, and costly disruptions, ensuring that the project stays on schedule and within budget. Our commitment to safety means our clients can trust us to deliver high-quality results while minimizing risks, providing peace of mind and long-term value to their investment.
This year’s Construction Safety Week focuses on three main goals: plan, own, and commit.
PLAN with Precision, Purpose & Determination
MAI Construction’s pledge begins with a corporate commitment to safety. We’ve implemented annual and monthly training programs, weekly job site meetings and required certifications for superintendents and all field personnel. We have an enhanced Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) that is provided to all hires and is part of our initial training for all Superintendents and Project Managers. When you plan for safety, it becomes a natural part of our project process.
OWN Your Own Part in our Safety & Success
While the commitment to safety belongs to all of us, all MAI Construction employees participate in intensive safety trainings, hazardous safety trainings, and new hire orientations. Our Superintendents and Carpenter Foremen lead routine inspections, as well as the inspections for all equipment, including fire equipment, and enforce PPE compliance. We complete thorough incident reports, as needed, hold regular safety meetings and reviews of safe clearance procedures. Each part of our team has a role to play to ensure safety, and we all take it seriously.
Fully COMMIT to Executing with Excellence
This part is easy – we’ve been building excellence safely since 1973. We have the skilled team members , training programs, and project plans to ensure safety is top-of-mind for every project. There’s a reason why we’ve earned Highwire’s Gold Award for Safest Contractors and Vendors in 2024, and we intend to keep our rating with continued emphasis on safety.
“MAI Construction has built a reputation for safety in the industry and it’s because of our commitment to planning and executing projects with safety as a top priority. When you work with MAI Construction, you know you’re getting expert project management from conception to completion that includes safety every step of the way.” -Mike Mairose, President, MAI Construction
