Parking Lot Expansion

$8M

Project Value

56,000 SF

Project Size

Parking lot expansion project consisted of two (2) separate projects done simultaneously. One was for an 80 stall parking lot expansion that included a new bioswale retention area, new planting, eight (8) new light poles, and expansion of the existing pedestrian walkway. The project also involved trenching for sanitary sewer, catch basins, irrigation, and electrical conduit.

The second project consisted of building out roughly 12,000 SF of new electronics lab space, expansion of the warehouse space, refreshing the existing open office space and breakroom areas, new shower stall upgrades, and new structural steel platform supporting a 150 ton, 24,000 lbs new DOAS unit. New electronics lab space includes, new Rytec Lab Seal roll-up doors, new lab casework with Trespa countertops, Genie fume hoods, gowning space, snorkel benchtop exhausts, electro-static dissipative sheet vinyl floors. Open office space included new lighting, WAPs, paint refresh, and new carpet. Warehouse expansion required demoing out old existing labs and installing new warehouse high-pile racking. Breakrooms received new LVT flooring; epoxy moisture barriers were installed beneath all new hard flooring surfaces. On the roof, we put in three (3) new exhaust fans and also installed a new structural steel, galvanized platform to support the new DOAS unit. New platform necessitated reinforcing existing structural columns inside the building on first floor and mezzanine. New steel platform includes new grating, access, stairs, along with new roof screen to hide the DOAS unit. Upgrades were made to the shower rooms to bring them up to ADA compliance. New oil-less compressor was installed and new CDA lines ran to the labs. ADA and EV charger upgrades were also made on the east side parking lot as well upgrading the landscaping around the building.
