Museum Tenant Improvement

This project required extensive pre-construction, design assistance, cost feasibility and value engineering throughout the six month design and development stages. The result was a two phase face-lift of a Silicon Valley landmark to create more than 25,000 SF of world class exhibit space. The building features one of the largest collections of artifacts and media, covering the first 2,000 years of computing. It also includes more than 10,000 SF of public space including the orientation theater, gift shop, café kiosk and event lobby. MAI Construction worked directly with the museum staff as well as the architect, engineers, exhibit, lighting and audio/visual designers, fabricators, and installers for all systems. This allowed MAI the tight control of project parameters necessary to complete the museum on time and on budget.
