Natera: Signatera Lab Expansion in San Carlos

This 15,000 SF phased interior tenant improvement project for Natera included approximately 7,000 SF of office-to-lab conversion and 8,000 SF of laboratory upgrades across the third and fourth floors. The scope involved installation of one 240-ton air handling unit and two 30,000 CFM exhaust fans, requiring significant structural steel upgrades to support the new rooftop equipment. Structural work included the addition of new steel beams, which were rigged through a window and set in place while maintaining active laboratory operations. To accommodate the work, fourth-floor employees were temporarily relocated during the shaft construction and structural upgrades. Despite the complexity of the work and coordination challenges, the site remained fully operational throughout construction.
